Right, so I just rocked my girlfriend's world. I decided today is the day I win my girlfriend back.

After picking up her jaw off of the floor she finally got real and started asking me how my holiday was. I was very tempted to say: “Thank you for that question. I would describe it as being forced to watch The Titanic 20 times in a row, but where I play the role of DiCaprio and you basically let me and my balls freeze to death over and over again”.

Luckily I didn’t.

I gave her the most indifferent answer I could come up with: “It was cool.” And back to her brother.

I saw this was starting to frustrate her like crazy, and at one point while I was working on the computer she said: “I never realized how sexy you look when you are concentrating.”

Now honestly, up to this point I was still a little skeptical about Brent’s idea of being completely indifferent. But I decided in that second that my first born son shall be named Brent.

Eventually I was done, her brother went back downstairs and we 2 stayed in the room. She kept on talking to me, I just kept on being funny and then taking away the attention I was giving her.

Give a little to make her feel the butterflies, then take it away. It drives women INSANE.

Suddenly my old habits kicked in and I wanted to stay longer, seeing as how things were going so great. But in the distance I heard Brent’s voice yelling at me to keep up the good work. So I did.

If there ever was a time to win my girlfriend back, this was it. So instead of sitting down and chatting more, I did what I believe sealed the deal.

I gave her a huge smile, said that I hope she has a wonderful day, turned around and left the room.

I can still remember her shouting after me that I really didn’t have to leave right now, she can make us coffee or something to eat.

I declined, seeing as I had plans in an hour. It was of course complete B.S. The only plans I had was watching the latest episode of Lost. Great show, by the way.

I said my goodbyes, starting driving home but barely making it around the second corner when the text message came through. I’ll never forget it: “I am serious about the coffee, you should stop by tomorrow. Bye xoxoxox”.

“xoxoxox”?!? Are you serious? I almost caused 3 accidents on my way home as all the adrenaline of what just happened started kicking in.

We got back together 4 days later.
